Welcome
to Blue Ridge Adult Family Home. In this rapidly evolving sector of the health care industry, we are continually setting
new standards in preserving the dignity and quality of life of our residents. We are very proud of our custom designed one
level facility for 6 residents, all with private bathrooms and 3 with private entrances. Our reputation has been
built with a well-trained long time live in staff who truly cares for, values, and respects both our residents and their families.
Our commitment to our residents is to provide a living enviroment that preserves their options, dignity, and independence.
We offer comprehensive services suited to our resident's needs, preferences, and interests, while providing families' peace
of mind knowing that their loved one's needs are being met.
Our staff speaks and comprehends English as a
first language to ensure proper care for your loved ones. In addition, we prepare traditional American meals that they are
familiar with and enjoy, that are healthy using only organic meats and fresh fruits and vegetables free of any additives
and purified drinking water. We have our own plum, apple and pear fruit trees and a large vegetable garden with berries
and grapes in our main front yard for resident use and enjoyment.
Independence doesn't have to mean alone... Enjoy
living in a safe community among friends.
Our level access home has many little extras such as puget sound views,
large living room with gas log fireplace, covered view deck, & hobby room with game table. The family room has a fireplace,
music system with radio, CD, records, and cassette tape for music and books on tape/CD library. All bedrooms are on the same
floor for full resident interaction and socialization. There are no stairs.
In addition to the main
bath, all bedrooms have heated private bathrooms with large walk in tile showers.
There are two large outdoor community
areas and other amenities for our residents to enjoy.
We also have some storage space for residents belongings.
There
is off street parking for visitors and we are close to a busline.
Blue Ridge Adult Family Home provides the following
services:
* Our Registered Nurse comes in and interviews the resident and oversees their new careplan, medications,
and coordinates with their physicians for their overall well-being and continued care under their supervision. The nurse further
instructs and delegates caregivers for caretasks and provides continued complete oversight for each resident.
*
We provide home cooked meals and can alter dietary intake to correspond with any special dietary needs or favorite foods of
the resident.
* We do all laundry for residents and keep all belongings separate in their own private laundry basket.
* We assist with special needs such as incontinence. We have all equipment and supplies such as commodes, bed pans,
pull ups, timed bathroom schedules, portable containers, etc, to assist resident at no extra charge.
* We provide
elecric lift chair recliners for resident ease and convenience in getting in and out of the chairs.
* We do glucose
testing for diabetes, blood pressure testing, and weight charting and documentation.
* We also make doctor appointments
and oversee and maintain ongoing oversight care and can also coordinate transportation for them. A home visiting doctor is
also available.
